What is called soft porn?
Soft porn is that content. In which there is sexual intensity but it is not shown openly in the scene. In simple words, obscenity is served in it. But it is lightly covered. Like bold scenes, body exposure, erotic dialogues, increasing physical closeness between two people. All this is there. But there is no complete nudity or explicit sex scenes in it.
And this is the reason why it is not counted in the category of porn. But its purpose is almost the same. Just like porn content excites a viewer, soft porn also does the same thing. These days many web series and shows are being made on this formula on many OTT platforms in the country. This is the reason why the government has now taken strict action on this.
Decision taken due to this
The government has taken strict action and banned those OTT apps and websites. Which were repeatedly serving pornographic content. According to reports, these apps were being accessed for free especially on mobile and their promotion was also in full swing through social media. Now their content will neither be seen through apps nor on websites.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has directed internet companies to completely block access to these platforms. Google and Apple have also been asked to remove these apps from their stores. The government believes that such apps were easily delivering pornographic content to children. Which can have a negative impact on the mental development of children.
