This female form of Vishnu is known as Mohini in the Puranas. According to the story written in the Puranas, after seeing such beautiful women, the demons forgot the pot and started looking at the form of Mohini. Both the demons and the gods did not even realize that behind the form of Mohini, Lord Vishnu himself was present in front of them.

Both the demons and the gods were fascinated by the beauty of Mohini, so it was decided between them that Mohini would give a little nectar from the nectar pot to everyone. Same thing happened, but Mohini tricked the gods into drinking nectar while she tricked the demons into drinking water in the name of nectar. It is said that till date no woman has been able to have a beautiful form like Mohini. Even today, when beauty is talked about, the simile of Mohini is given.
