Dates may be announced today, PMO’s green signal awaits at 3 proposals

New Delhi,(CBSE 12th exam 2021 date):The Supreme Court will hear on June 3 the petitions of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to postpone the 12th examination. The Center has also sought two days’ time to decide on the examination. But, the Ministry of Education has prepared a draft to conduct these examinations. The wait is just to get the green signal from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

Sources in the ministry told that these exams are planned to be conducted between July 24 and August 15. Three proposals have also been prepared for the 12th board examination after consultation with all the states, but these are not the finalists. More avenues can also be found. Now everything is dependent on the PMO, who is very serious about the exam itself and also constantly active.

Dates may be announced today


Sources said that the central government has sought 2 days to decide on the examinations in the Supreme Court. However, the draft prepared by the Education Department after deliberations, will be placed in front of the Center on Tuesday itself. Sources say that the PMO is serious about this matter and on the other hand, an extension has also been sought from the Supreme Court, which is to be heard on June 3. In such a situation, if the PMO is approved regarding the dates and methods, then the dates can be announced on Monday as well.

Ministry of Education prepared 3 proposals for the CBSE 12th exam 2021 date

First Proposal: The main subjects of class 12th i.e. Major Subjects exam can be taken. After taking exams for only 3 main subjects of Science, Commerce and Arts, marking formula can also be formed based on the numbers found on the main subjects in the remaining subjects

Second proposal: There will be 30-minute examinations and objective questions will be asked. The number of subjects in this exam will also be limited, but nothing has been told about it clearly.

Third proposal: If the situation of corona infection in the country does not improve, then internal assessment of all three will be done in 9th, 10th and 11th. After this, the 12th result will be released on the basis of this. However, the formula regarding this proposal has not been clarified yet.

Current status at the level of Supreme Court, CBSE and Center regarding examinations

  1. 521 students from across the country appearing for the CBSE board exams have filed an intervention petition with PIL. In an intervention petition filed by Advocate Tanvi Dubey representing these students, the Youth Bar Association has demanded the cancellation of the exam, opposing the board’s decision to conduct the offline examination.
  2. Advocate Mamta Sharma had also filed a petition in the Supreme Court on behalf of the children to cancel the exam, which has been heard on May 28 and 31.
  3. Hearing the petition of Advocate Mamta Sharma, the Supreme Court has told the Center that if you make a policy different from last year regarding the exam, then a strong reason has to be given for it. The Center has asked for 2 days for this. However, the bench has also said that the government is free to take its decision. The Supreme Court said that you are given time to take a decision. Whatever decision you take, you will have to make strong arguments behind it.
  4. Justice Khanwilkar said that the students were very hopeful that this year also there will not be an exam like last year and method system will be adopted for numbering. On the other hand, the petitioner has expressed the hope that a decision will be taken according to the policy of the board last year.
  5. Attorney General K.K. Venugopal said that the central government will decide in two days whether the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations will conduct the ICSE 12th examination or not.
